Pilgrim Chamber Players' 13th Concert Season

Join us this fall and discover for yourself what all the excitement is about.

The Pilgrim Chamber Players 13th season will present an imaginative concert series of five exciting and varied Sunday afternoon chamber music programs.  Adventurous programming combines Cesar Franck's Piano Quintet, George Gershwin's Songs from Porgy and Bess arranged for string quartet and a rare chamber work by the French composer Durufle on our November 1st  program.  The beloved "Trout" Quintet by  Schubert will appear on the January 31, 2010 program along with 3 amazing Duos by Rossini, Frank Martin and Bohuslav Martinu - each a small masterpiece.  The program on March 21 presents a potpourri of great music by 6 different composers for winds, mixed with violin, viola and piano. Our popular free concert, Stars of Tomorrow presenting incredibly talented young musicians will continue this year on April 18th. We end our series on May 23rd with the artistry of soprano Michelle Areyzaga in music by three very different composers: Songs by Chicago composer Dan Tucker who will introduce his music; the extraordinary Shostakovich Romances for Soprano and Piano Trio; and  Three Irish Folksong Settings for Flute and Soprano by the American composer John Corigliano . The program and series  ends with a grand finale of Piazzolla  Seasons for Piano Trio.

We invite you to look over the programs and join us in our musical adventure.
